Alfred Shaheen reknowned artisan, responsible for creating the Hawaiian shirt we know and covet today. His skill was the design and printing of silk material. Each one of his garments is reverred as a timeless piece, often displaying cultural Hawaiian motifs or birdlife. They are quite simply textile treasures.
A textile professor explained, a Shaheen garment “is like a piece of moving art.”
